Warning about downloading help files

If you download any of our help files, (.chm) you should be aware that Windows regards such files as a potential security threat and prevents them from working correctly.  It's easy enough to correct this, but we also provide online versions with the same content.  You can avoid the problem completely by viewing those instead.

If you do choose to download the chm file, you'll know you have encountered the problem if your help file looks like this when you open it

To view the help file as intended, perform the following steps

1. Right click on your downloaded file and select Properties from the menu.
2. You should see the following dialog (this one is from Windows Vista)

   

3. Notice the security message at the bottom.  Click the Unblock button, followed by OK
4. Your downloaded file will now function correctly.
