Kames Sprint 15/04/2007

First event of the season.  Stephen started off with a blistering run almost 2.5 seconds faster than we've gone before.  Clearly the winter's efforts were paying off.  David put in a rather less impressive couple of practice runs, taking his now traditional time to get his brain into 'going fast' mode.

The timed runs in the afternoon were closer.  Stephen couldn't reproduce the form of the morning, and David closed the gap to around 1sec.  Both of us were still 1-1.5sec or so faster than our previous bests

The video camera mounted on the car was a great success.  We have some excellent footage of Stephen 'runnning out of talent', and a comparison of both our second timed runs.

Clearly the best car at the event. No, really

Brand spanking new Zetec engined Westfield

What's wrong with it Jonathan?

Pretty, well driven and very impressive

Supercharged Megabussa in a DJ Firehawk

Suffered from fuelling problems

Then a wheel fell off

A Pillbeam's what you need to go seriously fast

Fraser benefitted from a new engine with an extra 50bhp

One of the Lambies waits for another shot at the scenery. Stephen and Fraser follow him
