Kames Sprint 4th and 5th Aug '07

Weather forecast was poor for the whole weekend, but in the event, the Saturday at east was a great day.  David managed a succession of PBs, finishing on 88.6s.  Stephen of course had to go one better, and after 3 runs in the 88s, managed to get into the 87s with the last run of the day.  A good day's racing.

Sunday started cold and wet and got wetter as the day went on.  The car had developed a strange steering problem over night (turned out to be a failure in the rack itself) which made driving the car even more difficult than is normal in wet conditions.  David Proved just how difficult by spinning on his first run and was very lucky to escape with just a bent diffuser.  The middle of the straight at 75-80mph is not the place to have the car swap ends.  We got through the day without any other mishaps, but obviously the times were nothing to write home about.

Got some video of one of our competitors on his run.

It's hard work putting in a good time, and afterwards, he needed a bit of a rest!

Some assorted photos from the Saturday.

.

Escort RS2000, but is that Bodie or Doyle driving?
